Open Call KINDL signs | soundtracks
With the Open Call KINDL signs | soundtracks, the KINDL called for applications with concepts for a sound work. We would like to thank the applicants for the large number of interesting and promising submissions! On 11 July 2022 the jury unanimously decided in favour of D' Andrade's project The Bird of Five Wings.
Statement by the jury:
D’Andrade’s project is impressive for its stringent concept, which is similar in content, aesthetics, and theory to KINDL signs | signs and features a convincing artistic, poetic, and site-specific approach. The project realises multiperspectivity in a special way, thus playfully reflecting the discursive engagement with Berlin, Neukölln, and the Kindl site as well as the art and culture sector. The jury finds the interdisciplinary practice, which combines poetry, sound art, academic research, and performance, excellently suited to implementing the concept.
